A new non invasive diagnostic test for the lactose intolerance or deficiency of the lactase intestinal enzyme has been developed, based on a novel product (sugar of new synthesis).  This test has been developed to replace the objections that present the current systems of diagnose.  The method is extremely simple and consists in the ingestion of a small dose of the new sugar and the subsequent measurement in urine or blood of the by-products.

Clinical trials carried out and in course:

1.  Clinical trials in Phase I and Ib.  It has been carried out in healthy adult volunteers.

2.  Clinical trial in Phase II/III. In course, in patients with suggestive clinic of intolerance to the lactose, whether grade primary or secondary.
